Evelyn Molina has been assigned to continue with this celebration by Salvador Gómez Góchez, who was recognized for his main legacy of founding and creating “El Día del Salvadoreño” in the United States in 1999, a day on which the patron saint of our country is also commemorated: El Salvador del Mundo. This celebration has been held every August 6 since 2000 in Los Angeles, in 2001 in the county of California, and in 2002 in the State of California when the Assembly approved the initiative presented.
